British pop/soul sensation Adele has said that she is going to step away from soul for her third album, which is instead going to be heavily influenced by country and bluegrass. Yee-haw!
The Tottenham girl done good has been spending a lot of time listening to the old music of the American South while on tour in the States, and she says that she wants to record her next record out there. With any luck it'll do just as well as '21' which recently went triple platinum Stateside.
'I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass because I was touring for such a long time,' she said. 'The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I'm going be pursuing heavily from now on. I want to spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it.
'I feel like a four-year-old in a candy shop who's discovering sweets again. Every day is amazing when it comes to discovering new artists.'
