Adele's sales surge

It looks as though Adele's stunning BRIT Awards performance have given her career a nice kick up the backside: already one to watch for 2011, the north Londoner has become the first living artist since the Beatles in 1964 to have two singles and albums in the UK top five.

Since her show-stopping display at the BRITs, in which she belted out an incredible version of 'Someone Like You', saw the song rise a full 46 places to top the charts. Her latest album '21' is also at top spot, while latest single 'Rolling In The Deep' and debut album '19' are both at number four in their respective charts. That's some pretty impressive unit-shifting from the girl, we think you'll agree.

Meanwhile Tinie Tempah and Plan B also saw a surge in sales, with 'Disc-Overy' and 'The Defamation of Strickland Banks' re-entering the top ten, while Lady GaGa's disappointing 'Born This Way' only worked its way to third.
