Amy Winehouse's third album to be released?

The weekend brought the sad news that troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse died, following a drink and drugs binge. Upsetting though it is for her friends, family and fans, it's rather better news for her record company, who can now milk pure profit from her output.

Not only does this mean that we will most likely see Back To Black reissued (complete with remixes and live tracks), it's also quite probable that her as yet unfinished third record will be quickly polished up and put out, so they can recoup plenty of dough without having to fund her drinking.

'It is inevitable that her death will elevate her reputation and that there will be a third record released,' said Phil Alexander, editor-in-chief of Mojo. 'It's difficult to place her in the pantheon of greats now because the truth is that her career was still in its early days.

'That's the tragedy of the situation. She was a wonderful writer. The thing that's very sad about this is that there was so much more to come.'
