If music hipsters the New Musical Express (NME) were to conduct a poll with their loyal readers that asked ‘who is the best singer in the world?’ Bookies would pop the likes of John Lennon or Liam Gallagher top of that tree. Well, lets just say thank your lucky stars bookies weren’t taking any bets.
In a mammoth poll that saw over 10 millions votes cast, on no, this isn’t no tinpot survey the recently late Michael Jackson was crowned their King of the Pop Singers with a staggering score of 9.02 out of 10. Piping the great showman Freddie Mercury into second place with 8.39 out of 10.
