And the gayest album ever made is...

It’s that time of the year/decade where every magazine/newspaper/TV show/blog known to man compiles an ill thought out 'best of list' to arm readers with pub ammunition and fill column inches.

Gay magazine Out has come up with a little curve ball though; with a top 10 list of the ‘gayest albums ever made’. The usual suspects are in there; Elton John, Madonna, Judy Garland but coming up from the rear to scoop the number one spot is David Bowie’s landmark concept album ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’ first released in 1972.

The poll was decided after more than 100 gay actors, comedians, musicians, writers, critics, performance artists, label reps and DJs including; Boy George, Rufus Wainwright, Cyndi Lauper, Perez Hilton and Jake Shears were asked for their nominations.
