Arcade Fire and Tinie Tempah storm Brit Awards

Tinie Tempah and Arcade Fire were the success stories of the 2011 Brits both scooping two gongs each last night at the London O2 Arena ceremony, which was hosted by James Cordon.

The Canadian band scooped International Group and International Album (for 'The Suburbs') whilst Tinie Tempah was awarded Best British Single for his infectious 2010 hit ‘Pass Out’; having recently confided to the telegraph that he would prefer to win Best Breakthrough Act ahead of any other nomination, the London- based rapper was thrilled to receive that accolade too.

The newly re-vamped, avowedly more ‘music-centric’ ceremony saw some lavish performances - most notably by Take That (winners of the British Band award) who started off proceedings flanked by an army of Take That soldiers who finished their stint in nothing but their underwear, and Rihanna (winner of International Female Solo Artist), who remained in a more constant state of undress whilst she performed a medley of songs.
