Back to Rehab

Amy Winehouse has completed her new album, but its release has been delayed following the singer’s return to rehab.

The long-awaited follow-up to 2007’s Back to Black is reportedly finished, and record label bosses were on the verge of scheduling its release but were forced to hang fire when the troubled singer readmitted herself into rehab last Thursday (26 May).

A source told The People: ’She has finally finished the album and it's ready to go. [Island Records] were just about to finalise a release date and then this happened. She is back in rehab for the foreseeable future so it is just a question of waiting and seeing now. But there is no way they can give a specific release date until they know when she is likely to be out.’

The singer has a busy summer ahead of her work wise, with schedule appearances at three European festivals, including the BBK festival in Bilbao. But with no indication as to how long her latest stint in rehab will be, the jury’s out whether she’ll be able to honour her live performing commitments.
