After four years of being little more than tabloid gossip fodder, living on a diet of smack and alcohol, Amy Winehouse is finally set to hit the headlines for the thing she got famous for in the first place – her music. The soul sensation is due to release her follow up to Grammy winning Back To Black in January, and rumour has it that it’s going to be rather good. Hooray!

It's been an incredible past few weeks for Amy,’ said someone paid by Wino to the Mirror. ‘She has completely turned her life around.

It has been a long time coming - and she's been writing songs for what seems an eternity - but finally Amy is satisfied and believes she has an album worthy of a four-year wait. She's held meetings with the record label, Universal, and they are putting everything into promotion.

‘A lot of the material covers her romance with Blake Fielder Civil and their acrimonious split, plus, of course, her battle with the booze and drugs. It is very raw and very personal - it promises to be another classic. She is now narrowing down the material and hopes it'll be on shelves by the new year.’
