Bad week for Chris Brown as seizure follows arrest

It most definitely has not been a week to remember for Chris Brown. You could definitely describe it as a ‘Weekus Horribilis’ if you were the Queen and felt inclined to do so. And yet he is hardly a man that inspires profound wells of sympathy – indeed one might view any catastrophe that befalls him as a small blow for karma. One might, but we of course, couldn’t possibly comment.

So earlier this week – the knight chevalier and all round modern man was briefly jailed on a hit and run charge. Having been involved in a crash back in May, Brown had fled the scene of the accident, but with the law looking ominously like it was set to catch up with him, he turned himself in to police. Proving that he had learned at least something about the perception management of his disgraceful behaviour, he was swift to get in front of the impending brush with the law – although it is not clear who got out in front of who in the crash in question.

Having spent a gruelling 40 minutes in jail, he was released with nauseating speed by a police department and went back to his life with a predictably unpleasant sense of indignation and self righteousness. And then suddenly, days later, he suffered what has been described as a ‘seizure’ in a Los Angeles recording studio.

According to TMZ, the L.A. City Fire Department responded to a 911 call at the Record Plant studios shortly after 1 a.m. on August 9th, but Brown declined hospitalization and treatment from the paramedics. A representative for Brown confirmed to Us Weekly that the 24-year-old singer had suffered a non-epileptic seizure (NES) and was not hospitalized.

"His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress," the representative said, "both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity."

Everyone else’s fault as usual then
