Beatles On Sale, again

With the amount of coverage this story has gained in the last 24 hours you’d be forgiven for thinking that it’s the most important news story to have broken since the Big Bang. The Beatles are unquestionably the best band/music artist of all time. That’s a fact. iTunes is the clear cut market leader in digital downloaded songs (90% of all sales currently) but for bickering reasons yadda yadda yadda the fab fours’ back catalogue has never been available online, anywhere. That is until now.

All The Beatles albums and songs are now available to download for 99p per track (long gone are those 79p days my friends) and each album is priced at £10.99 on iTunes. Apple are doing nothing short of screaming from the rooftops about it too, just have a little look at their website apple.com where you’ll see videos and various TV ad spots advertising the fact.

So much is this reincarnated Beatles fever, William Hill have priced the fab four at hogging the entire top 10 of the singles chart before 2011 at a mere 10/1. One question, doesn’t everyone already own everything The Beatles ever did? And if not, you shouldn't be allowed near a computer.
