Beyonce's father Mathew Knowles has thrown petrol all over the rumours of a possible Destiny's Child reunion by insisting that there might be a new album as well as a world tour i the pipeline. The three-piece band consists of Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Mathew commented recently to saying "When you see Destiny's Child on TV and you see them doing songs together, slowly, slowly, there might be a new Destiny's Child album coming. There might be this tour that makes history, Destiny's Child featuring Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle."
Mathew Knowles managed Destiny's Child until the girls embarked on their own solo careers back in 2006. He has not been involved in any way shape or form in his daughter's stellar solo career so his comments may have to be taken with a big pinch of salt.
Earlier this year, Beyonce and Kelly Rowland lent a hand to former bandmate Michelle Williams on her single Say Yes and this was enough to set the rumour mill into action over a possible permanent reunion for the girls. Rowland and Williams then joined Beyonce on stage towards the end of her Superbowl half-time show to all sing Bootylicious, Independent Women and Single Ladies.
Knowles has also suggested that all the Beyonce and Jay Z split rumours lately were intentionally leaked to fans as a way to increase ticket sales for the Ignite tour. He said "It's called the Jedi mind trick. The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot of times. I know because we've done this. From experience, there's a tour going on."
