“Bigger than Oasis!”

Liam Gallagher has never been one to mince his words, and for that reason he’s got to be loved. This time the former Oasis lead whiner has been talking up his new band Beady Eye, and with all the usual aplomb we’ve come to expect from him....

The Northern caveman told The Sunday Times that his post Oasis band Beady Eye (essentially Oasis without Noel and a slightly better name) are frickin’ awesome: ‘It'll be bigger than Oasis I've got no doubt about the music, no doubt about me. It's proper rock'n'roll. Oasis was a pop band compared to what we're doing.’

He went on to describe the as yet unheard music as a similar sound to Oasis *yawns*, with a hint of Beatles *yawns again*, T-Rex *and again* and Jerry Lee Lewis. Their debut single is cited as being released at the end of the year and their first album comes out in summer 2011.
