Bowie rubbishes Glastonbury reports

David Bowie has rubbished reports that he is set to play at Glastonbury in 2010. A number of newspapers reported that the legendary singer was set to sign on to play at the festival next June.

However, a spokesperson for the singer has confirmed on Davidbowie.com that there is no truth in the rumours. The message states: 'The Mail Online has posted a piece suggesting that David Bowie is "considering an offer" to appear at next year's 40th anniversary Glastonbury Festival. Sadly, there is absolutely no substance to this story.'

U2 have already confirmed that they will headline the Friday night of the festival on June 25 and could be joined by Muse with Jonathon Ross tweeting that the English rockers hinted that they would be on the bill.
