Candid Allen

Lilly Allen and her betrothed Sam Cooper have been through a lot in the last few months, but it seems as if the LDN singer is finally ready to talk to the public about her personal life via a three-part TV documentary set to air next week.

Channel 4 will launch ‘Lilly Allen: From Riches To Rags’ next Tuesday (March 15) at 10pm and it looks set to cause some controversy. According to the NME the 25 year old singer starts off the show by revealing that continuing to be a popstar into middle age would be her ‘idea of hell'.

To illustrate her point she added ‘I don't want to be like Madonna, look at her, she's mental. No offence but that is not what drives me. I want to get married and have kids and make sandwiches cutting the crusts off.’

Aside from badmouthing the most powerful woman in pop, Allen also goes on to talk openly about the emotional turmoil of miscarriage. And as if that wasn’t enough misery for one popstar she also talks frankly for the first time about her eating disorder, admitting that she was battling bulimia during the time of her 2009 album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’.
