Legendary music producer Phil Spector is facing the prospect of spending rest of his life in jail after he was sentenced to 19 years for the murder of Lana Clarkson.

Spector, 69, shot the actress dead at his house in California and was found guilty last month. Now he has 15 years to life for second degree murder and an additional four years on top of that for use of a gun. He won't be eligible for parole until he is 88 years old.

The producer worked with some of the most famous name in the history of popular music, and is famed for creating the Wall of Sound technique in the 1960s. His lawyers said they would appeal.
