Cheryl Cole to return to X Factor

Cheryl Cole has finally forgiven Simon Cowell , and the beautiful 30-year old singer will be returning to The X Factor this year.

Cole has reportedly agreed on a £1.5million one-year deal for her return as a judge for the 11th season of The X Factor.

Cowell took to his Twitter account on Monday night to confirm that Cole will be returning as a judge on the popular talent show.

In a series of tweets, Cowell told his 9.5 Twitter followers, “It’s official! Cheryl is back” and “Be careful what you wish for” and adding “Most importantly she is a brilliant judge of talent.”

Cheryl also confirmed the big news of her return by posting the above Instagram pic captioned with: " GUESS WHAT!!.. I'm baaaacccckkkkk!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck #XFactor2014 #leggooo."

Late last year ITV inked a three-year renewal deal for The X Factor, and last month announced that Cowell would be reprising his role as a judge on the show (on the same day that Fox announced that they would be cancelling the U.S. version of the program).

Apparently Simon has been working for months on trying to repairing his relationship with Cheryl after their controversial fall out during the 2011 edition of the X Factor US, and just months after Cole won an undisclosed payout from the producers of US X Factor, Blue Orbit, who she had sued for $2.3m (£1.4m) in lost earnings.

Many may recall that Cole was unceremoniously dumped from the US version of the show after just a few weeks, supposedly because of her accent and the fact that the Girls Aloud singer was a relative unknown in the States.

So far no other official announcements have been made on who else will also be on the judging panel.

However, music manager Louis Walsh, who previously said that he would be leaving, recently said that he was excited about Cowell's return, which could be a hint that he could continue in his role as a judge.
