Cocker quashes Pulp reunion rumours

When it was reported yesterday that Pulp would be reforming to headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival next year there were an army of indie kids rejoicing in their Oxfam chord jackets and NHS specs. Well bad news people, the hungover wasn't worth it.

BBC 6 Music grabbed lanky leg-end Jarvis Cocker at the Q Awards and asked him if he’d be up for playing the 40th Anniversary on the Worthy Farm hippy-fest. He replied with a suitably vague, “I’d be up for it” but has since quashed all Pulp comeback hopes.

"I can categorically tell Teletext that Pulp have no plans to get back together, someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a 'Pulp reform' story. It's not true."

Jarvis? Are you telling us there’s a chance?
