Dave Grohl on SNL

Since debuting on NBC back in 1975 Saturday Night Live has become the definitive sketch based comedy show Stateside. Not only has it spurned the careers of a shed load of fine comics including Chevy Chase and Steve Martin it's provided the creative hub in which films such as Wayne’s World and The Blues Brothers were first conceived.

Foo Fighters lead growler Dave Grohl first appeared on the show in 2007 in the now legendary People Getting Punched Just Before Eating sketch (see video below), and it was only a matter of time until he was asked back.

His latest pet-project, supergroup Them Crooked Vultures (made up of himself, Queens Of The Stoneage Josh Homme and Led Zep’s John Paul Jones) were the SNL’s musical guests at the weekend but it was Dave’s excellent skit alongside Ashton Kutcher that stole the show. Check it out...
