Dizzee Rascal & James Corden World Cup song

Anyone who saw the Britain’s Got Talent final on Saturday would have seen the most mental act of the p-taking show - ever. No, not one of the contestants (although that wood chopping dude was more than crazy) but Dizzee Rascal and James Corden doing a World Cup song.

The idea came about when Fabio Capello said he didn’t want an official World Cup song for fear of it distracting the players. Good old Simon Cowell asked the pair if they’d do a World Cup number and, naturally, having the backing of God and the guarantee of a number one (a second Rage Against The Machine crusade pending) they jumped, or more specifically ‘shouted’ at the chance.

The song is one half cover of Tears For Fears classic ditty ‘Shout’ with James Corden trying his best not to ruin his career, but almost failing in the chorus, one half Dizzee rapping by numbers for the verses. But before we can go slagging off Simon Cowell too much, they’ve attached the charity tag, with royalties going to the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

Dizzee Rascal & James Corden ‘Shout’ is available to download from the 13th June and you can watch the BGT performance below.
