Drake treated his fans to a performance of his newest single this week at a concert in Birmingham. The single does not have a title as yet but the refrain of Call on Me in the chorus seems like a possible title in waiting.

The song is looking likely to be the first of a new batch of songs which will make up another album for Drake to be released near the end of 2014. It will mark a quick turnaround from the 2013 release of Nothing Was the Same.

Drake has been embroiled in a public feud lately with fellow rapper Jay Z. Drake labelled the New York rapper "lame" for only rapping about "corny things". Drake felt "It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references".

Jay Z has inevitably taken a pop back at Drake in his new single. Lyrics definitely aimed at Drake go “Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk, Silly me rappin about s*** that I really bought, While these rappers rap about guns they ain’t shot, And a bunch of other silly s*** that they ain’t got”.
