Many fans were highly disappointed to learn that Oasis would not be reuniting to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

The much speculated reunion turned out to be the re-release of their first three studio albums: 1994's Definitely Maybe, 1995's (What's The Story?) Morning Glory?, and 1997's Be Here Now, but this new piece of news will no doubt pique the interest of hardcore fans.

Oasis has announced that there will be special exhibition that will take place at the Londonewcastle Project Space in Shoreditch, London.

It will be the first exhibition entirely dedicated to the band, and will run from April 11 (which coincides with the debut of the single Supersonic that was released 11th April 1994) until April 22nd and the entry is free.

The exhibition called "Chasing the Sun: Oasis 1993 - 1997", will feature rare photographs, artefacts and memorabilia from the past two decades of the iconic band.

"Chasing the Sun: Oasis 1993 - 1997" will also document Oasis’ live performances at London’s 100 Club, Glastonbury and the two night stand at Knebworth, as well as the creation of their three landmark albums.

The exhibition is curated by renowned photographer Lawrence Watson, who also spent 18 months working and documenting Noel Gallagher's journey creating his debut solo album, that was previously exhibited at Londonewcastle Project Space in 2011.

This new exhibition will also feature previously unseen images from photographers that include Jill Furminovsky, Paul Slattery, Tom Sheehan, Kevin Cummins, and Jamie Fry.

Also on display will be some of the instruments played on the band's early albums - which have been loaned by band members themselves - as well as vintage merchandise, artefacts from the album sleeves and rarely seen early audio-visual content.

The remastered version of "Definitely Maybe" will be released on May 19 and will include rare and unreleased recordings, and the band will also release a 12-inch vinyl of "Supersonic" for Record Store Day on April 19.
