Fleetwood Mac to headline Glasto

Although Glastonbury Festival is still seven months away we’ve already had confirmation that U2 and Muse will be two of the three headliners at the 40th anniversary of everyone’s favourite hippy fest. Fevered speculation has been made about who the third act will be: The Rolling Stones and Pulp have been in the mix but have both denied their appearance. Now Holy Moly have waded in saying legendary MOR rockers Fleetwood Mac will play the Pyramid Stage on the Sunday night.

Fleetwood Mac, who are currently match fit and on a UK arena tour, could feasibly headline though this is likely to be a case of wishful thinking: a Glasto spokesperson has already told the NME it won’t happen.

To say Stevie Nicks et al would have been a fine finish to the Somerset festival would be a giant understatement. If they do play they better bring their Fleetwood ‘Macs’ (Glastonbury? Rain? Macs? Geddit? No? Oh, forget it).
