Gary Barlow made one bride the happiest woman in the world this past weekend after the surprised her by singing at her wedding. The Take That star performed a personal rendition of Rule The World by serenading Katie Hardy on her special day.
Hardy was in total shock and didn't have a clue that the surprise had been organised and planned by her friends for the past 8 months. She has been a hardcore Take That fan ever since she was 8 years old and even has all 5 of the original band members names tattooed on her arm.
After a Robbie Williams tribute band finished his set list at the reception, Barlow seized the moment and grabbed the microphone surprising the newlyweds. A speechless Hardy recalled the moment saying "The real Gary Barlow walked in, and I just couldn't believe it. It was just the icing on the cake, I was speechless."
It all came about after Barlow launched a Twitter campaign earlier in the year looking to sing at the weddings of the band's most dedicated fans. Friends of Hardy bombarded Barlow with tweets meaning that he could not possibly ignore the prospect of appearing at her wedding.
Barlow was such a good sport he even hung around after his performance to pop into some of the wedding photos. It is certainly a day that Katie Hardy and her husband Steven will never forget and they are off reflecting on the great day on their honeymoon in Gran Canaria.
