Girls Aloud give Harding rehab ultimatum

Sarah Harding's decision to check into rehab for depression and alcohol problems earlier this week comes after an ultimatum from her Girls Aloud bandmates according to reports in the tabloids.

The 29-year-old singer is alleged to have hit the bottle hard after splitting from her fiancé Tom Crane earlier this year, much to the concern of Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle.

An article in the Sunday Mirror claims that Sarah has been told that she needs to seek professional help for her problems if she wants to take part in the Girls Aloud ten-year reunion tour scheduled for 2012.

'They want these to be their best shows yet to make sure they come back with a bang and are coming up with some huge ideas,' an unnamed source told the Mirror this week.

The insider continued: 'But as preparations started to get underway, the girls realised that, because of her party lifestyle, Sarah was unlikely to be in a fit shape to do it.'

Harding appears to have accepted her friends' advice as well as their concern about her ability to take part in the Girls Aloud reunion by checking herself into rehab.

The mystery source continued: 'The girls are fully supporting her and are saying they will be with her every step of the way.'

The Mirror suggests that Harding is also hopeful of rekindling her relationship with Crane. The couple are reported to be ready to attend counselling as soon as the Girls Aloud singer exits rehab.
