Kasabian, Arcade Fire, Elbow, and Skrillex are the biggest acts confirmed for Glastonbury 2014. More bands will be announced in the coming month but the list of bands confirmed already will have fans counting down the minutes until the festival kicks off.

The man responsible for starting the Glastonbury festival Michael Eavis promised that 2014 would be extra special and he certainly has not disappointed. Joining the heavy hitters are MGMT, Bonobo, Interpol, Mogwai, The Black Keys, Jack White, Lana Del Rey, Rudimental, John Newman, Rodrigo y Gabriella and Ed Sheeran.

For fans of nostalgia, The Pixies make a long awaited return to the festival after a whopping 25 years absence, Blondie will be rocking out to all of her classics and Massive Attack will be sure to entertain as always.

Festival organiser Emily Eavis sets the tone for the festival by saying “We always take great pride in putting a great British band on to headline the Pyramid and this time it’s Kasabian, who are one of the most requested bands from Glastonbury goers and an amazing live act. It’s going to be one hell of a show.”.

Idris Elba will also take to the stage and perform in his other role as a DJ. And country fans will be delighted to hear that Dolly Parton has also been confirmed to play at the festival. The legendary singer is about to embark on an extensive UK tour this summer so adding a stop off at Glastonbury was pretty much inevitable.
