Glastonbury next?

Will it be Pulp? Will it be Prince? Will it be Klyie? Unless you’re surname is Eavis and you own a farm called Worthy Farm then your guess is as good as ours, but we’d put someone else’s mortgage on one of the headliners for Glastonbury 2011 being Coldplay.

Chris Martin and his goons have announced two main act festie dates for next year. They will headline the Rock am Ring festival and the Rock in Park festival in Germany, which both fall on the weekend on 3rd-5th June. Kings Of Leon will also be headlining the twin events. So, with a new album due to be released next year, surely Coldplay are a shoe-in for a Glasto slot? They’ve played on numerous occasions before and Michael Eavis has repeatedly said they’ve been one of his favourite ever festie live band to grace the Pyramid Stage. Right, what’s the number for William Hill?

Coldplay had previously announced two charity UK gigs in December, one in Liverpool and the other in Newcastle.
