Holy Guacamole! The Boss Super Bowl pre-rec scandal
It’s been revealed that Bruce Springsteen’s Super Bowl half-time performance on Sunday was prerecorded.
Often cited as the biggest gig in the world and watched by an estimated 35bn people (or something like that), the producer (and owner of the most American sounding name ever) of the Super Bowl entertainment confirmed the revelation;
“The Super Bowl performances are all on tape,” said Hank Neuberger. (Chicago Tribune.)
"There is no way you can set up a full band in five minutes with microphones, get all the settings right, and expect to get quality sound, the Super Bowl has been doing that for years with virtually all the bands.”
