I hate pop music!

Who doesn’t like Bjork? Don’t answer that, it’s rhetorical. She’s feisty, can belt out a tune, Icelandic and as cute as a button. She’s also one to speak her mind and tell us how it is.

In an interview with The Guardian, the pint pot princess has had a dig at all pop music dismissing all of it as ‘superficial’. Bjork, who has a new album about to drop and said; ‘I would rather call it [her new album] folk music – folk music of our time. I was never too much into Warhol and the whole pop thing – it felt a bit superficial. I prefer folk. People. Humans.’

Adding; ‘My main aim is to not get too bored myself, I feel that if I'm curious and excited there is a bigger chance the listener might be. At the end of the day, it's more about the feeling of an adventure rather than the details of the adventure itself. So in short: whatever turns you on.’

Bjork’s seventh album ‘Biophilia’ is released in September.
