Insane Clown Posse - FBI's next threat?

Fans of Insane Clown Posse have been officially classified as a gang by the FBI.

Known as the Juggalos, the fans of the notorious hip-hop group are "of concern to law enforcement," according to the FBI's 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment report.

The Juggalos are famous for their spooky facepaint, annual "Gathering of the Juggalos" celebration and a love of Faygo soda. More recently, however, they have been linked to a string of crimes, including a shooting in January.

The report says: "Most crimes committed by Juggalos are sporadic, disorganised, individualistic and often involve a simple assault, personal drug use and possession, petty theft, and vandalism."

"However, open source reporting suggests that a small number of Juggalos are forming more organised subsets and engaging in more gang-like criminal activity."

"Transient, criminal Juggalo groups pose a threat to communities due to the potential for violence, drug use/sales, and their general destructive and violent nature."

Over 200 Juggalos have signed an online petition to protest at the classification.
