Kings of Leon admit to internal tensions

The Kings Of Leon cancelled their second concert in the space of a week on Saturday night with bass player Jared Followill later admitting that the Tennessee band are dealing with some internal problems.

King Of Leon cancelled their second concert in the space of a week on Saturday night with bass player Jared Followill later admitting that the band is currently dealing with some internal problems.

The Tennessee natives were scheduled to play at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston as part of their current US tour but the gig was cancelled in the wake of their abandoned show in Dallas on 20 July when singer Caleb Followill walked off stage before the band finished their set .

The venue issued a statement claiming that the concert has been cancelled because Caleb Followill was suffering from ‘heat exhaustion and dehydration’. However, his brother Jared later revealed on Twitter that the band were having some personal issues.

‘I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade,’ the band’s bassist wrote on the mini-blogging site.

Front man Caleb Followill stormed offstage at the Gexa Energy Pavillon on 29 July claiming to have a problem with his voice. Despite ensuring fans that he would return to finish the band’s set Followill failed to return.

The Houston gig has been rescheduled for 22 September, however, it remains to be seen of this week’s cancellations are just isolated incidents or the beginning of the end for the Kings of Leon.
