Lady Gaga enrages fans

Lady Gaga fans have reacted with righteous furious anger (not seen since Bros split up) over the news that she is doubling ticket prices for her upcoming live shows. Gaga’s Little Monsters were paying £27.50 for the cheap seats at the recent leg of her Monsters Ball tour, but since she scooped international female solo artist, international album and international breakthrough at the BRITs, she has announced new gigs in May and June that will cost between £50 and £75.

The hike has prompted a flood of outrage on the official forum on her website, with one fan writing: ‘It's disgusting. We made both albums number one and this is how she repays us.’ However, Gaga’s promoters have hit back at the criticisms, saying that they’re revamping the show for larger arenas, and that the ticket prices are fair. So there.

‘What was a small arena/theatre production is now a massive, first rate arena production,’ said Arthur Fogel, chairman of global touring at Live Nation, Gaga’s promoters, to the BBC. ‘Ticket prices for the previous dates were set long before the current Monster Ball show was developed. Ticket prices are comparable and fair.’
