Lady Gaga set to open a Michael Jackson memorabilia museum

Lady Gaga reportedly wants to open a Michael Jackson tribute museum to showcase all the MJ memorabilia that she has collected over the years.

The singer who is a super Jackophille, in 2012 spent $1.25 million on 55 wardrobe items - that included his jacket from the video Bad and his Swarovski encrusted crystal glove – from the collection of Jackson’s long time costume designer designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush.

After the auction the Mother Monster tweeted about her purchases: "The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide."

Gaga feels that the late King of Pop should be properly remembered and said: "I will put together a museum and put the money to a foundation he cares about. The reason I bought Michael's clothes was because my tour clothes mean more to me than anything, my awards, records. I believe they carry the energy and memories of the night".

"With Michael's clothes being sold when he was not here made me feel really uncomfortable, upset and I don't why. I take care of them - they are in the right temperature and are preserved. I have spent millions".

"I believe that the fans' energy gets stuck in the clothes. I wanted to preserve that for him."

Apparently the 27-year old singer is now scouting for a location before having to negotiate with the estate of Michael Jackson and his children - 16-year-old Prince and 15-year-old Paris - who own the copyright to his name and image.

"Gaga is a huge Michael fan, and she feels that there needs to be a real museum to celebrate his life and work," a source told The Mirror.

"She has been stocking up on items from all over the world. Some of her purchases have been under different names so that she is not overpaying for artifacts. But now she has a few pieces she is planning out the next stage of where the location for the museum should be.

"She’s considering Gary, Indiana where Jackson started his career, her hometown NYC or Los Angeles, close to his Neverland home."
