Liam Gallagher confirms new band

If things go to plan, 2010 (sounds so futuristic doesn't it?) could see the biggest UK chart battle since Blur Vs Oasis. Noel Gallagher has confirmed that he plans to on embark on a solo career next year, and now his wee brother Liam Gallagher has piped up to confirm he’s on the look out to form a new band too.

Liam G told The Scotsman; "Getting away from the whole Oasis thing is going to be a good thing I suppose. I don't want to do anything solo. I want to be in a band. But we can do things a lot differently these days. It'll definitely be rock 'n' roll."

But don’t get your hopes up too soon indie kids, he doesn’t plan to leave his sofa till January. "For now, I'll be relaxing at home, just getting out of music for a bit and then I'm going to start up something maybe after January, do something different, see where it goes."

The younger Brother Grimm went on to say that music was in his blood and something will come out for sure; "I'm always going to miss Oasis. It was my f-ing thing, you know what I mean? It's who I am. I've got music in me. I'll never leave it behind but we'll see where it goes. It might be sh*t but you don't know until you try."

In the meantime Liam is keeping busy with his crocheted fashion line Pretty Green.
