Liam Gallagher plans for life without Oasis

Liam Gallagher has broken his silence on the Oasis split. The mouthy singer has made it clear that 'Oasis is no longer' bringing to an end the speculation that he is set to continue using the band's moniker despite the fact that his brother Noel quit last month.

Noel Gallagher decided to leave the Britpop legends after the latest in a long line of bust ups with his younger brother Liam following an Oasis gig in Paris. However, the younger Gallagher has told The Times that the band are now finished.

"Well, Oasis is no longer. I think we all know that. So that's done," Liam said. "It's a shame, but that's life. We had a good run at it. The thing about Oasis is no-one... we ended Oasis. No-one ended it for us. Which was pretty, kind of... cool. I'm thinking of what the next step is musically, which is all my mind's on."

Gallagher the younger continued hinting that he will continue to work with the members of Oasis while Noel pursues a solo career: "People will be able to buy his records. People will be able to buy our records. So everyone's happy."
