Mercury Prize betting tip off?

He should have won it in 1994 for his Wild Wood album but somehow the muppets on the judging panel said that the best album of the last 12 months was by M People and not Paul Weller. INSANE IN THE MEMBRAIN!!!

Well, 16 years later it looks like the Modfather will finally get his just desserts, after it was revealed that the odds on his Wake Up The Nation album winning tonight’s Mercury Prize were drastically cut to 1/10, making him the clear favourite. One trick ponys The XX had long been tipped to win the acclaimed album trophy but according to William Hill, they're falling short at 7/4.
