Ever fancied listening to Mick Jagger sing in Sanskrit? Of course you have – who hasn't? - and now you can, thank to the new international super group Super Heavy and their new song 'Satyameva Jayathe' (which translates as 'Truth Alone Triumphs').
The group, which contains Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, Jagger, Damian Marley and Oscar-winning Indian musician AR Rahman, are expected ot release their debut album next month and Rahman has called the track 'historic' and 'iconic'. It's certainly strange hearing Jagger singing in another language, that's for sure.
'Dave said, 'AR we want your voice in this album',' said Rahman. 'We want this to be a great Indian song too. A long dream for me has been to raise one of the morals of Indian culture, which is Satyameva Jayate, and make it as a song. This is historic. It is iconic in a way. I hope people will like it.'
