Mighty Boosh album finished

A bunch of terrible hipsters they may be, but we love The Mighty Boosh: their three series of daft, silly and very funny comedy are still regular viewing for us, as is their first live show (the second one was rubbish – sorry chaps). One of the things that makes them so good is that they also right stonking tunes to go along with the comedy genius, so it's no surprise to hear that they're releasing an album. However, fans are going to be in for a long wait.

The record, which has been rumoured for God knows how long, was recorded at Electric Ladyland studios in New York, and will be released in conjunction with their film, another project which has been rumoured for donkey's years, and which they haven't even written yet. Oh well.

'We haven’t put it out yet but we've done the recording. It sounds good,' said Julian Baratt AKA Howard Moon. 'We recorded it at Electric Ladyland studios - they did quite a good deal. We're just waiting for a time to put it (the album) out really. I don't know, when we get round to writing the next film or something we'll tie it in and release it together.'
