Miming Spears angers Australian fans

Britney Spears has once again hit the headlines for lip-syncing during her live show. The American singer was criticized for miming on the X Factor last year and is reported to have angered fans during her current Australian tour.

According to Rebekah Devlin, an Aussie entertainment writer, a number of audience members walked out of the Perth date of the 'Circus Tour' after just three songs. The journo claims that the fans were unhappy with Spears' 'singing' as well as her lacklustre onstage performance.

However, Britney's tour manager, Paul Dainty, has described Devlin's accusation as 'the biggest lie' he's ever heard.

The promoter continued: 'I'm so angry. We can take heat if there's something wrong and people can review shows badly - that's something you have to live with - but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication.'

Rumours had circulated ahead of Britney's Australian tour that the former Mickey Mouse Club singer would lip-synch, prompting Virginia Judge, New South Wales' Fair Trade Minister, to call for a warning to be printed on concert tickets if a singer opts to mime.
