MOBO mo' problems?

It’s been quite a year for London MC Tinie Tempah: not only has he topped the singles charts with two singles in a row and the album charts with his debut long-player ‘Disc-Overy’, he’s now swept up two MOBO awards. Tempah picked up the Best Newcomer and Best Video gongs, while narrowly missing out on Best UK Hip Hop/Grime act to fellow East Londoner Professor Green.

Elsewhere super smooth pop R&B act JLS somehow managed to charm their way into the knickers of millions of girls and bagged themselves the two of the biggest awards of the night: Best Album for their eponymously-titled debut and Best UK Act. However, we don’t like them much so we’re going to concentrate on our man TT instead. Congrats.
