More Download Festival acts announced

If you like your rock turned up to 11 then there really is only one place on planet Earth you have to go to get your rock fix - the Download Festival. The elite of rock festies has been partying hard and loud since its first incarnation as the Monsters Of Rock 30 years ago and this year's anniversary looks like it's shaping up to be a real bobby dazzler.

AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine and Aerosmith are more than competently filling the headliner slots, aided and abetted by support slots from Motorhead, Deftones and Megadeth amongst many others. But just as it was looking like a full house, organisers have announced 14 new acts will be joining the bill.

They include: Sum 41, Thin Lizzy, The Wildhearts' Ginger, Tyketto's Danny Vaughn, Anathema, Trigger The Bloodshed, Enemo-J, The More I See, Sondura, Everything Burns, Starseed, The Dirty Feel and Jett Black and most excitingly Foo Foghters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins side project th Coattail Riders. With Dave Grohl’s Them Crooked Vultures already signed up to, place you bets now for a surprise Foos show over the weekend.

The Download Festival takes place from June 11th – 13th at Donnington Park.
