More Glasto teasing

Do you want to know who will be headlining next year’s Glastonbury Festival? Yes, us too, but looks like we’ll have to wait just a little bit longer to find out.

This year’s 40th anniversary bonanza was considered to the best ever festie yet, despite Gorillaz' lacklustre and self-indulgent headlining slot and the blazing sunshine (yes, there were losers who complained it was TOO HOT). U2, of course were scheduled to be the main event but had to pull out due to OAP Bono and his bad back, but rumour has it that the biggest band in the world could be lined up to play at next year’s festival. Maybe.

Talking to BBC News, head farmer and all round demi-god Michael Eavis has added fuel to the fire about the incoming headliners. He said that U2 have been asked to play next year but have yet to respond. The other two prestigious Pyramid slots, however, are already filled. Who with? He was keeping schtum. Check back tomorrow for more very vague details.

Glastonbury Festival 2011 takes place between 24-26th June and registration for tickets is now open.
