Nearly choked on my Cornflakes

Calvin Harris managed to stir up a hornet’s nest of abuse when he decided to post on Twitter about Chris Brown, who despite being exposed as a vicious woman beater seems to be extremely popular with the ladies, especially the adolescent ones, and who Harris has accused of plagiarism. Anyone who has spent any time in the company deranged teenage girls knows how vicious they get when their hero gets criticised.

Harris was shocked at the similarity between Brown’s latest single ‘Yeah 3X’ and Harris’ 2009 effort ‘I’m Not Alone'. ‘Choked on my cornflakes when I heard new Chris Brown single this morning. Do you know what I mean?’ said Harris on the social networking site, sparking a deluge of abuse from upset Yanks and outraged teen loonies. This set the Scot off into the following Tweet rant:

‘Oh wow these Chris Brown fans are amazing! Best one for me is 'You're in the UK why are you commenting on someone doing way better than you'.

‘Can all these Chris Brown stans stop it now please? You are all unbelievably offensive and ignorant beyond belief. Literally getting threatened by 14 year old girls right now! Racist, xenophobic + misguided. I'm sure Chris is very proud of you all.

‘STILL getting s**t from Chris Brown fans! Now they think I set up an anti-Chris Brown Facebook page.

‘Chris Brown fans: I don't care that you call me a 'nobody' : stealing is still stealing, doesn't matter who you are!... Because Chris Brown is an international celebrity doesnt make it OK to rip off a guy from UK not many people have heard of... How are you going to call me irrelevant when his brand new song sounds just like my two-year old song?!

‘Of course I'm not going to take it to court? What good would that do?! Happy for people to make their own mind up. And those saying I'm doing this for publicity, that's f**king laughable - what I have I got coming out? F**k all! Don't want or need it.’
