No Doubt there was trouble

Hundreds of No Doubt fans had battles with the police on Tuesday after they were turned away from the band's comeback gig on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in California.

Five hundred fans were queued up in the blazing California sunshine for seven hours to watch the band play at the Backlot Bash in Burbank but were turned away because of overcrowding on the set. The fans – who had legitimate tickets – were turned away when producers claimed they over-estimated the capacity of the venue and had to call the plod when the fans got understandably angry.

The presenter was also forced into an apology on her website. 'Backlot Bash yesterday. Some people didn't get in. I never want to turn people away; if you were, we're trying to reach you. Contact us below.' No idea what she's going to offer them, mind you.
