NO-rigin of Symmetry

Muse fans: if you’re a fan of the band’s blistering live shows, and in particular their breakthrough album ‘Origin Of Symmetry’, the you need to get yourself down to either one of the Reading or Leeds festivals this summer.

The band are headlining the Friday night at Leeds and the Sunday night at Reading, and frontman Matt Bellamy has said that they will probably be the last time that the band play songs from that album live. He said in an interview with the NME that it would be like ‘drawing a line under one phase of our career’, and a good way to mark the ten-year anniversary of the album’s release.

‘It's probably the last time some of these songs will ever be played live again,’ he said. ‘It was on the second album that things really started happening for the band, and when we focused on the live side of things much more. So it'll be like coming full circle: we've gone off on one a little bit, and now it feels like the right time to pull it back and remind ourselves of what we were doing 10 years ago.’
