Oasis are a go-go

Noel Gallagher may have walked out on Oasis earlier this year, but it looks like the band will continue without him (yeah, we know he wrote all the good songs). Talking to the Evening Standard, Oasis lead growler Liam Gallagher shone some more light on his future musical plans:

‘We're not using the Oasis name at the moment’ he snarled, ‘but if we don't come up with something else by the time we're ready to release the album it'll be Oasis. I'm not going to call myself something ridiculous just for the sake of it.’

Speaking about the new look band (with all the same members apart from Noel) and recording some music Liam said: ‘We're halfway there. We've got all the songs done, we've got a bit of studio time booked after Christmas and we're going to get in there, do it quick, with no stewing on it.’

In the interview Liam also laughed about his reported busted with brother Noel, saying that they're on good speaking terms again: 'I'm sure he thinks 'I'll do my solo career and if it doesn't f*cking pan out the way it's expected I'll give our kid [Noel] a ring because he'll be desperate and he'll do anything for Oasis.'

'Well, I'll say this right now: he's got another f*cking thing coming. If he thinks he can ring me up at any given stage in his f*cking lifetime, I'll be busy. I'll always be busy when he rings me up.'

Maybe not.
