Out before Christmas?

Amy Winehouse has confirmed the rumours from yesterday that she is planning on releasing her third album very soon, and that it will be similar in sound to the smash hit Back To Black. After four years we’re a bit concerned she could be treading water, but on song her voice could turn any sort of old rubbish in a smooth, silky, bitter-tasting toffee of a tune, so we’ll let her off.

The Mirror reported yesterday that she would be releasing the new record in January, but Wino herself has revealed that it will be out in six months at the most, meaning some very tidy Christmas sales will be coming in for her, and also meaning that she’ll be forcing a festive pop-off between her and That That. Nawtee.

‘The album will be six months at the most,' she said. 'It's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff and the songs that are... just jukebox, really... I just can't wait to have some new songs on stage, really.’
