Out with the old …

Liam Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye was formed literally hours after his fatal bust up with brother Noel that signalled the end of Oasis.

The end of the road came for the Supersonic 90s hitmakers, as singer Liam had a furious spat with his brother while backstage at a gig in Paris in August last year.

Not that he’s one to look back in anger. Within hours Gallagher and his Oasis bandmates Gem Archer and Andy Bell gathered in a hotel room to begin carving out their future with a new group.

Gallagher tells NME in his inimitable way: ‘Oasis was so f**king set in stone, man. I was gutted at the time when we split up, but that's life, innit? S**t happens, you move on... It was that night. We all went back to the hotel, got on the p**s and it was like, 'All right, let's f**king do this.' I might have apologised to the lads, I might not have, I can't remember...

‘We just got on with it. We just went, 'We have to f**king carry on, man.' Because we knew, right away, that was definitely it, you know? We knew there would be no making up, not after that. We knew it was done.’
