Paul McCartney to contact police over phone hacking allegations

Just when you think the phone hacking scandal can't go on for any longer, up comes a new revelation that threatens to drag even more people into the pit: Paul McCartney has said that he will contact the police after he discovered that he had his voicemail hacked by tabloid journalists at the Daily Mirror, revelations that could bring Piers Morgan to a British courtroom.

Whistleblower Guido Fawkes found a column written by Morgan – once the editor of the Mirror – in which he admitted listening to a voicemail the Beatles man had left of ex-wife Heather Mills' phone. He said that the pair had had an argument and that 'Paul was pleading with her to come back. He sounded lonely, miserable and desperate, and even sang 'We Can Work It Out' into the answerphone', details that one could only have if they had come from hacking a mobile phone. It's doesn't look good, does it?

'I don’t know much about it, but I do think it’s a horrendous violation of privacy, and I think it's been going on for a long time and more people than we've heard about knew about it,' said McCartney. What will happen next eh?
