Pay up students

One more voice has been added to the music piracy debate that was kicked off by Lily Allen’s rant at Radiohead and Pink Floyd. The righteous fury of GlasvegasJames Allan reached fever pitch on Allen’s (not Allan’s) anti-piracy blog, where he accused students of being tight, and demanded that people stump up for the music they’re enjoying in a most amusing fashion.

‘Okay. Everybody shut the f**k up,’ he started. ‘People are taking things that don't belong to them. In any walk of life, anybody will tell you that's wrong. Some countries cut your hands clean off if you illegally file share. We don't want it to get to that point now do we?

‘Don't give anybody the; 'I'm a student', whilst in the same breath asking the barmaid in the student union for two vodka and cranberry drinks. One for you and one for the fat f**k you would never allow your mother to meet."

‘I know there is so many soulful students out there who spend their last pennies legitimately on music that moves them in ways music and only music can.

‘So, grow a heart, let it beat a little and spend 79 f**king pence on a song you tight f**ks.’ Yeah. YEAH.
