PETA say no to Gaga's Meat-kini

It’s not hard to become a little bit tired of Lady Gaga’s incessant publicity stunts: barely a day goes by when she’s not up to some sort of magazine or TV-related buffoonery, this time draping herself in a meat bikini for Japanese Men’s Vogue. It’s a bit of a dopey look, but it has come with one added benefit – it’s narked off animal rights beauts PETA a treat. Hooray!

‘Lady GaGa's job is to do outlandish things and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body,’ said Ingrid Bewkerk, president of the irritating do-gooders’ network, who are more concerned with spouting off about animals than homeless people. ‘No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal.

‘Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that's the look they were going for - they achieved it.’
